We are very proud to be Aotearoa-NZ’s first and only sake brewery. Our sake is hand crafted in Queenstown, using certified sake rice and sake yeast from Japan, and soft, pure water from the Southern Alps of Te Wai
Pounamu.

Our brand name is ZENKURO 全黒.

Translated from Japanese, the characters mean ALL (全) & BLACK (黒), a uniquely Kiwi combination that conveys an image of balance, harmony, strength, passion, pride, and of course,
determination to succeed against the odds.

Team Zenkuro strives to produce sake that reflects our love
for Japanese craft culture and Aotearoa/NZ’s pioneering spirit.
